Igniting Passion in Music

The Rising Music Festival is dedicated to discovering, mentoring, and showcasing the next generation of musicians, performers and creatives! By providing young artists with a professional platform, hands-on mentorship, and real performance experience, we aim to nurture creativity, build confidence, and strengthen the local music community. We know that talent comes in all forms comedians, MCs, spoken word artists, musical theatre fanatics, designers, filmmakers, and more. Whether you're ready to own the stage or want your work featured behind the scenes, this is your chance to be part of something special. 

We have had 22 bands apply to play so far and 16 battling it out in the Battle of the Bands - Main prize: Headline spot at the festival, studio time, branding help and support as well as a spot at "Westival" (Westend Centre/Aldershot) MOST IMPORTANTLY support from our local community and councils/councillors. Great press interest as well as some interviews coming up.

A Night to Remember

What a night it was! Our first event exceeded expectations. We welcomed a wonderful mix of talent, from emerging artists and bands to DJs. The excitement in the room was really buzzing. We had a chat about what management is and how the artists can start to build their profile and socials in order to attract the right attention and aims towards those goals.

The spirit of collaboration thrived throughout the event. Artists like @abadartist and @swell captivated the audience with their acoustic performances. Each set showcased not only their skills but also their willingness to accept feedback. After the show, many attendees expressed inspiration by the material presented, highlighting the potential for both personal and artistic growth.

Insights and Inspirations

Our Festival Director, Amy Wheeler, shared her own music journey with @whitenoisemachine. Reflecting on her experiences with @thephoenixartscentre, Jon, and the @backbeatcollective, Amy inspired attendees with her story of perseverance and community support. Her message resonated deeply: every artist’s journey may differ, yet they are all interconnected in the pursuit of creativity.

Networking and Collaboration

A significant highlight of the event was the networking chat at the end. Everyone was eager to connect, exchanging ideas and exploring potential collaborations. What was evident is that the creative industry flourishes on collaboration. We were so proud to facilitate an environment where these connections were being made. It was the whole point of these sessions. Attendees engaged in conversations about music, shared challenges they face, and discussed some of their own personal aspirations, reinforcing a sense of 'all in this together'. It really does help build confidence and support for one another. It was a joy to witness!!
