The summer school will be a hands-on program focused on recording a song with a live band. Participants will learn about the recording process, how to work with a band, and how to capture a high-quality recording in a live setting.

At the end of the workshop, you will have the chance to record the song!

Our experienced tutors will help guide you through the entire process, from setup, recording techniques, live experience.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• Recording Techniques: Learn about different recording techniques.
• Digital audio workstation (DAW): Musicians should have a basic understanding of how to use recording equipment.
• Communication: Musicians need to be able to communicate effectively with the engineer to ensure they achieve the desired sound.
• Timing and Pitch: Musicians need to be able to perform well in the studio environment and understand the importance of.

Overview:

This 3-day workshop is designed for musicians who want to learn how to record a song in a live room for the first time. Participants will learn about the recording process, how to work with an engineer, and how to capture a high-quality recording of their music.

Day 1: Morning

Introduction to the song:  Participants will learn the techniques required for that particular genre and style.

Day 1: Afternoon

Rehearse and workshop the song to a performance level standard.

Record a rough demo for students take home

Day 2: Morning

Working with an Engineer: Participants will learn how to work with an engineer, including how to communicate effectively and how to give feedback.

Day 2: Afternoon

Participants will record their song in the live room with the engineer. They will learn about the importance of timing and pitch in the studio environment.

Day 3: Morning

Record the remaining bands
